Who Is Restricting Mahesh's Market?
By: Tupaki Desk | 6 May 2019 7:23 AM GMTEven after cross-checking the judgement on the story multiple times and attaining positive buzz prior to the release, Star Heroes are facing the heat when it comes to the Box Office performance. Mahesh Babu himself agreed feeling the pressure of 'recovery of investment'.
These days, Our Heroes have been focussing on increasing their Overseas Market. Success of a movie is measured based on the collections in this territory in the recent years. With the kind of fan base he have locally, Someone like Mahesh Babu needn't have to think about how well his films perform In Andhra and Nizam. This is why he is showing much interest on the Overseas Revenue Records.
Unfortunately, Overseas Distributors haven't been respecting the range/calibre of Mahesh Babu. Business of a movie happens based on the past records of a Star. For someone like Mahesh Babu, Movie Lovers join the queue in big numbers in USA. Even those Films which attained average or flop talk had joined the million dollar club. Still, Overseas Distributors kept doubting the stamina of the Superstar. They have been undermining the market of Mahesh to be in the safe zone and restricting the distribution rights to a certain amount.
As per Trade Circles, Great Indian Pictures acquired Maharshi Overseas rights for Rs 12.5 crore. This amount is slightly better than the price offered for previous movies of Mahesh Babu. Does it justify the stature of Mahesh's Landmark 25th Movie? Overseas Distributors who don't mind offering fancy prices for films of other heroes beyond than market range treat the movies of Prince differently. Why is it so???
