Overseas Troubles for Maharshi
By: Tupaki Desk | 11 Dec 2018 5:45 AM GMTSuper Star Mahesh Babu is regarded as the undisputed king of the Overseas box office. Almost all his films so far have done well at the USA box office. Irrespective of all the factors including the weather in the USA, the Telugu audiences form lines to catch the shows of Mahesh Babu movies. Bu surprisingly, the producers of Mahesh Babu's current movie are facing problems in finding the right buyers for their movie Maharshi.
As per the trending reports, the overseas distributors are showing no interest to grab the movie. The producers are quoting high prices for the rights and in the past, not many Mahesh films resulted in profits for the buyers. Though the films achieved hit status and performed well, the high prices resulted in heavy losses for the buyers. Except for Srimanthudu in the recent past, all the other movies flopped big time at the box office in the USA.
Considering the same, the buyers are asking the producers for decreasing the price for the rights but it looks like Ashwini Dutt, one of the producers of Maharshi is not ready for it while Dil Raju wanted to consider it. Mahesh's last film Bharat Ane Nenu also did not result in profits for the USA buyers and the buyers are expressing the same concern to the producers.
If the producers are still adamant of not decreasing the price of the rights, it will be a big problem for them to release on their own.
Directed by Vamsi Paidipally, the film is a joint production of PVP, Dil Raju and Ashwini Dutt.
