As 'Maharshi' is going to mark the 25th film of Mahesh Babu and is coming after the super hit of 'Bharath Ane Nenu', the expectations on the movie are sky high.
Touted to be a drama movie which features the problems of farmers, Mahesh will be reportedly seen as student and farmer in the movie. The satellite, theatrical and digital rights of the film are the current hot sales in the film industry. The satellite rights of the movie are said to have sold to Gemini TV for a price that is the best so far in Mahesh Babu's career. Mahesh's earlier film SPYder was sold for 26.5 Crores and it is said that Maharshi broke the record but the official numbers regarding the same are yet to be revealed. The deal is already locked for a huge amount and the audiences are confident that the movie is going to create more records with the collections.
Vamsi Paidipally of 'Oopiri' fame is helming this project. Pooja Hegde is playing the female lead. PVP, Ashwini Dutt and Dil Raju are bankrolling this movie which is slated to hit the screens on April 5th.
