Mahesh Babu's SVP opts out of Sankranthi race

Mahesh Babu's upcoming theatrical outing Sarkaru Vaari Paata has officially opted out of the Sankranthi race. The makers have announced that the film will not be arriving in theatres on the 13th of January.
The announcement from the makers read that "The Date is Locked for the Auction & the Action in Theatres #SarkaruVaariPaata Grand Release on 1st APRIL, 2022,"
Now that Sarkaru Vaari Paata has been shifted from the Sankranthi slot, the Sankranthi race is entirely between RRR, Bheemla Nayak, and Radhe Shyam.
The shooting for Sarkaru Vaari Paata will be wrapped up by the end of November and the final cut will be readied by the end of the year.
But for logistical reasons, the film has been pushed from the Sankranthi slot to the early summer 2022 slot.
