Mahesh Babu is one of the biggest stars in South India right now. His image and charisma are the only reasons why a mediocre film like 'Sarileru Neekevvaru' ended up as one of the biggest hits in Tollywood. He was suposed to work with Vamsi Paidipally but he turned it down due to unknown reasons.
Despite being a huge star, he is coming forward for doing special roles in films of other heroes during the peak stage of his career. He readily agreed to do a key role in Chiranjeevi and Koratala Siva's 'Acharya'. He created a sensation by taking this decision. Actually he was the first one to restart the multi-starrer trend with 'Seethamma Vaakitlo Sirimalle Chettu'. There were also rumours that he is going to do a brief role in Anil Ravipudi's 'F3'.
He proved that he maintains friendly relations with all the heroes and showed that he is game for multi-starrers. Despite all this, the makers of 'Acharya' are reportedly preferring Ram Charan over Mahesh. The reason for this will only be known to themselves.
