Manchu Vishnu did not keep promise of coordinating with others!
By: Tupaki Desk | 16 Oct 2021 6:34 AM GMTManchu Vishnu is gearing up for his oath-taking ceremony as the new Movie Artistes' Association (MAA) President. The ceremony will start very soon and the guests are reaching the Film Nagar Cultural Centre for the occasion. All the members of the Manchu Vishnu panel will also take oath today.
However, Manchu Vishnu who earlier said he will work together with the other panel members had reportedly didn't invite Megastar Chiranjeevi for the ceremony. While he invited Nandamuri Balakrishna at his residence, the invitation was not sent to Chiranjeevi reportedly.
The tradition in MAA is that all the bigwigs in the Tollywood industry will be invited for the oath-taking ceremony of MAA chief. Over the years, the same has been followed irrespective of who won the MAA President post. Be it Naresh, Shivaji Raja, or others. For the first time, the tradition was broken.
On the other hand, Manchu Vishnu took charge as the MAA President before the oath-taking ceremony. This is also a new change in the tradition. MAA has been strictly following the tradition of the winning contestant taking charge as the chief only after the ceremony. For the first time in five years, a candidate took charge before the ceremony.
Given the fact that the Mega family had extended its support for veteran actor Prakash Raj who contested for the MAA President post had lost the elections, doubts were raised on whether the Manchu family will invite Megastar Chiranjeevi.
Adding fuel to the donuts, neither Mohan Babu nor Manchu Vishnu had invited Mohan Babu for the ceremony reportedly. He was not present at the ceremony. Though Balakrishna also did not attend the ceremony, the Manchu family had reached Balakrishna's residence earlier this week and thanked him.
It has to be noted that Manchu Vishnu sought support from seniors and bigwigs in the Tollywood industry before the elections. He personally met veterans like Superstar Krishna and Krishnam Raju and sought their support.
This move had almost made a difference in the elections and helped Manchu Vishnu to taste a thundering win in the election. In the history of MAA, no election became public like the recent elections.
