Manchu Vishnu has been doing films in limited budget that his market permits after disasters like Saleem. But even the actor wants to take on the big budget mythology and historical fiction movies like many others.
Bhaktha Kannappa is one of the most prestigious and big hit movies of Krishnam Raju. The movie became a huge hit in the direction of Bapu and brought name to Krishnam Raju for portraying the devotee, Kannappa role with sincerity.
He indeed wanted to remake it with Prabhas in his own direction but it never materialised. Tanikella Bharani, a renowned devotee of Lord Shiva, wanted to make the movie from a long time.
He went to Sunil with the script but it did not go forward. Manchu Vishnu took the script and even though it became controversial, the producers and he ended the controversy amicably.
Now, the actor announced that he wants to take the movie onto sets this year only.
He said, "We are planning to produce the movie on a budget of 60 to 70 crores. Even though my market doesn't permit such huge risk, we have to take it for this film. I am confident that my next two films will become big hits and improve my market. I and Tanikella Bharani garu, improved the script. Now, a Hollywood writer is working on screenplay. Once he finishes, we will take it Tanikella Bharani for his approval. A hollywood director will direct the movie. I will announce complete details in few months."
