Mani Ratnam's Take on Rajini Political Entry
By: Tupaki Desk | 7 April 2017 6:45 AM GMTGenerally, Mani Ratnam refrains from expressing political views or sharing his opinion on politics. He, however, choose to surprise by speaking about the after-effects of Jayalalithaa's sudden demise in Tamil Nadu.
Responding on the immense pressure on Rajinikanth to step into politics to fill the vacuum, Mani Ratnam opined: 'Mounting pressure on someone to join politics just because he is a star isn't the right thing to do. Rajini is just like anyone of us...let him decide for himself. He will join politics at the right time if he believes he can deliver. Whatever he does will be in the best interest of the people'.
Mani Ratnam condemned the rumours that his next will be a Gangster flick. He says 'Cheliya' starring Karthi and Aditi Rao Hydari have a 90s backdrop and its an emotional love story.
