Mani Ratnam To Resume Shoot Of His Dream Project

Mani Ratnam's epic period flick, Ponniyin Selvan is one of the much anticipated films in Kollywood. The dream project of the veteran director is based on the literary novel of the same name, written by Kalki Krishnamoorthy.
The film went on floors last year and wrapped up the first schedule in January this year. Due to the pandemic and subsequent lockdown, the shooting formalities have been halted temporarily.
The latest update is that the director is prepping to resume the shoot after the Pongal season. The next schedule will start rolling in Pollachi and Mysore first and later the team will head to Sri Lanka for the next major schedule.
The period film boasts of a massive cast comprising Amitabh Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Vikram, Trisha, Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Nayanthara, Jayaram, Keerthi Suresh, and Aishwarya Lekshmi in crucial roles.
