Pokiri is known for the music and Mani Sharma for the first time collaborated with Puri Jagannath to give a blockbuster album. Movie became an Industry hit, taking Mahesh to Superstar status and Puri became a preferred director to everyone.
Then, Puri-Mani came together for Ek Niranjan, Chirutha and Cameraman Ganga tho Rambabu. Except Chirutha other two turned out to be flops. But songs from both the films have become hits over time.
Mani Sharma lost his numerouno position to Devi Sri Prasad and emergence of SS Thaman further took him away from game after dominating it for a decade.
The veteran resurfaced himself in 2016 with Gentleman and in 2017 his 8 albums were released. In 2018, he gave popular music to a big film like Devadas.
Now, in 2019 he got a call from Puri Jagannath again to collaborate for Ismart Shankar. Puri wants to deliver a big hit and comeback from all the downtrend he saw after Temper.
Mani did give BGM for Temper, so Puri is thinking that this will help him in getting distributors attention as his long list of flops made them fear about investing in his film.
