Manmadhudu-2 Director Thinks Manmadhudu Is Incomparable!

Normally, when a sequel or second film in a franchise is being made, people try to say that they have made a better one than previous one and even bigger one too.
In Hollywood, Batman Begins is not as successful as The Dark Knight but many consider the trilogy works better when you watch all three movies than just one of it.
As Manmadhudu is being projected as a possible franchise for Nagarjuna Akkineni going forward, Manmadhudu-2 success is crucial for Rahul Ravindran and Annapurna Studios as well, to keep making movies in candyfloss romance genre.
Rahul wants to make action films as well down the line but he needs the success of Manmadhudu-2 to propel him to such popularity and give him opportunities to make them.
Hence, he is extra nervous but he is not claiming that his film in better than Manmadhudu - the original, in any sense. He in fact said, he rates the original as classic and watches it maximum number of times to escape stress.
He replied to a question on Twitter from fans about the movie and said,
''Oh! Last 30 days lo 200 times chusanu:) ( I myself watched it 200 times in last 30 days!) And the first Manmadhudu is a classic. So much nostalgia attached to it. Even for me. Better not to compare. But I think you’re really gonna like this one too:)''
So, the team is being very level-headed and not trying to oversell their film or undersell. But we hope it is as entertaining as the original one if not a classic. Manmadhudu-2 is releasing on 9th August.
