Mass Hero signs Special 26 Telugu remake

Producer Thyagarajan who acquired the remake rights of Akshay Kumar's 'Special 26' for all the South Indian languages has approached Raviteja to play the lead in Telugu version. Even Our Massraja responded positively but he could only shoot for this movie after wrapping up 'Kick 2' and 'Bengal Tiger'.

Raviteja claims he and Akshay Kumar look one and the same physique wise. He, however, is very particular that a lot of changes need to made in the remake as his films are meant to entertain audience. "'Special 26' is very raw and a different film. Audience don't accept me in serious kind of roles," he quotes, saying the Telugu remake will have more entertainment quotient had if he is part of it.

Interestingly, Akshay Kumar has starred in the Hindi remake of 'Vikramarkudu' titled as 'Rowdy Rathore'. Now, Raviteja is getting into the shoes of B-Town Khiladi for the Telugu remake of 'Special 26'. The two stars have been in touch since few years and share a good bonding as well.
