Mathu Vadalara Doesn't Seem To Have Aet Cash Registers Ringing!

Box Office success is a must for every film to be remembered these days. You cannot have critical success with collections being too low.
Mathu Vadalara falls into the category of a critically acclaimed film but with very low box office returns. Movie did have issues but many started saying that it is a must watch and even promoted it as the best film to end 2019.
But audiences did not feel the same. Even though some part of trade stopped tracking the film to help the narrative of a it being hit to continue.
The movie did make money for producers through Satellite and Digital rights but it is struggling to make theatrical money back.
Whoever watched the movie, will tell you that it was made with 2.5-3 crores budget but the makers tried to pass it off as under one crore production.
Seems like people are waiting to call it a good film that they missed in theatres just like Ee Nagaraniki Emayyindi, after Digital release or they may call it overrated by critics!
