"Extreme ways are back again.Extreme places i didn't know. I broke everything new again. Everything that I'd owned". This famous number by Moby gives us goosebumps everytime we listen to it. An interesting fact is that, this song comes up in all the four sequels of Bourne series at the end.
The Bourne Identity originally, is a novel written by Robert Ludlum. It was adapted as TV series in 1980. In early 2002 a movie was also loosely adapted with the same name starring Matt Damon. Having received phenomenal success, two more sequels got released in 2004 and 2007. All three of them were runaway hits. The forth part had Jeremy Renner starring in it, which bombed at the Box Office.
Matt Damon openly told that he wouldn't do another bourne movie without Paul Greengrass who directed the second and the third part. They have come together for the fifth part "Jason Bourne" with the two of them jointly writing the screenplay.
The crux of the story is how a C.I.A officer looses his memory and finds himself in the middle of Mediterranean sea. As he tries to reclaim his memory, he finds himself already in a dangerous situation. His only purpose in life now becomes to regain his identity and seek redemption for all the wrong doings. This series of movies has created a huge buzz in the film trade and attained a cult following similar to that of Batman and Star Trek series.
On July 29 2016, we get to see the other secrets of Jason getting unveiled. This movie is simply titled as Jason Bourne. Directed by Paul Greengrass, we have Matt Damon, Tommy lee Jones & Julia Stiles in the lead cast.
