Megastar Chiranjeevi and his family has a unique connection with Varanasi aka Kasi. He first acted as a driver, Shankar Narayana in Kasi in the film, Indra. A major portion of the film is shot in the temple city and it became a highlight for the film. In the second half, when Chiranjeevi mouths famous lines in front of villains after being introduced as a simpleton in Kasi, worked out really well.
Following the sentiment, in Nayak, Charan showed Kumba Mela in Kasi and that did result in a success for the actor. The scenes have become highlight for the comedy mass masala film in the direction of VV Vinayak. Later, Pawan Kalyan too used Kasi backdrop for his movie, Teenmar for Arjun Palwai, episode but the movie did not work at box office.
Trivikram Srinivas being a staunch believer that it is work that gives results and not sentiments, once again took Pawan Kalyan to Kasi for Agnyathavasi. The film shoot is completed with the schedule and few days patch work is also done in Hyderabad in Mindspace. Murali Sharma and Khushboo congratulated the team and wished them all the best for great box office result. Agnyathavasi marks for third collaboration of Trivikram and Pawan Kalyan and the duo is looking for a hat-trick this Sankranthi.
