The makers of Radhe Shyam are holding the suspense on the film's release date. While they continue to affirm that Radhe Shyam will indeed be releasing in theatres on the 14th of January, as announced initially, there are several doubts pertaining to the release plan. The USA bookings for Radhe Shyam have been put on hold and that is adding more weight to the speculations that the film's release has been postponed. Also, Prabhas, who was supposed to take part in media interviews today has canceled all these promotional plans and this further adds to the doubts on the film's release.
Now, we are hearing that the makers of Radhe Shyam have received a mega offer worth Rs 350 crores for the direct to OTT rights of the film. This is one of the biggest OTT offers for any film in the history of Indian cinema. This speaks volumes about the craze and hype surrounding Radhe Shyam. But UV Creations, who are bankrolling the project are said to be reconsidering their options now. They are hopeful of giving the film a theatrical release sooner or later. They don't have the idea of giving the film a direct to OTT release just yet. But given the size of the OTT deal that was offered to them, we can expect the makers to at least give it a thought. If that is the case, Radhe Shyam could be the biggest direct to OTT acquisition in Indian cinema.

They are said to be hoping that an offer to the tune of Rs 400 to Rs 450 crores would perfectly suit the OTT prospects of the Prabhas starrer. And they are acting accordingly as well. It remains to be seen if any OTT platform will be ready to offer such a massive amount of money for the direct to OTT rights of the film. Further developments in this regard will determine the mode of Radhe Shyam's release. The final call on the same will be taken on 5th or 7th January.
