The demand for content on OTTs has surged double the need and all the platforms like Netflix, Amazon Prime and Disney Hotstar are desperately adding content to help their audience.
The efforts of OTTs is finally paying the price! The demand for content is never ending but can be met gradually!
In Bollywood, the OTT releases are just increasing day on day. Amitabh Bachchan has paved the way for many with his film 'Gulabo Sitabo'. Today Amazon Prime has announced its direct OTT release today is 'Gulabo Sitabo'. The film is directed by Shoojit Sircar of 'Piku' fame. The film stars Megastar Amitabh Bachchan and Ayushmann Khurrana. The film would stream on June 12 on Amazon Prime.
When Will These Bollywood Big Films Release?
Now, movie lovers on social media are waiting for the other big films that initiated talks with OTT giants to announce the streaming dates. The Big films include Akshay Kumar's 'Laxmmi Bomb' to be streamed by Disney Hotstar.
'Gunjan Saxena' starring Jhanvi Kapoor in the main lead is a biopic and is produced by Karan Johar. He has good ties with Netflix and talks were finalized to stream 'Gunjan Saxena' on Netflix. 'Shakuntala Devi' a biopic starring Vidya Balan to be streamed on Amazon Prime. Other small films include 'Jhund' and 'Ludo' that are in talks with OTT platforms.
With Theaters shutdown, movie buffs are in need of new films and if at all the OTTs announce the release dates of these films. Fans would have an entertaining quarantine. OTTs better not waste the best time in this lockdwon! Do we say more.
