Will Takkari Donga Get 'Vetri' For Mahesh?
By: Tupaki Desk | 11 March 2018 2:43 PM ISTVetri in Tamil means, Win. Mahesh Babu's Takkari Donga, released in Tamil as Vetri Veeran in Tamil Nadu on 10th of March.
The movie is a cow-boy western in Telugu that Mahesh tried in an attempt to live up to his father's legacy.
It was produced and directed by Jayanth C. Paranjee. The movie failed to register a commercial success but the efforts of Mani Sharma and Mahesh Babu did earn them special name.
Mahesh really looked the part and Mani proved that his music and back ground scores are legendary. The story became too old and hence, people rejected the movie in 2002.
Mahesh found his big hit with Okkadu and Pokiri made him the star, he is today.
He tried to go Baahubali way and do a bilingual with a famous director like AR Murugadoss. Spyder, his previous movie, ended up as his biggest disaster but got him name in Tamil too.
Distributors from Tamil Nadu reckon he earned a good following and they have released his old film once again.
Vetri Veeran already released in 2013, once but ended up being unnoticed. With strike of theatres and total Industry shut down, announced by Tamil Producers from 16th March, can his new found name help in making it a good win and a show that there is market for his films?
