Memorable Year For Keeravani: Nominated For Civilian Award!

Music Director MM Keeravani is among the veteran composers we have. He has been active since the 1990s. He worked across languages. His last outing as music director RRR is creating a sensation. Recently it was selected for the prestigious Golden Globe award for Naatu Naatu song making it the first Asian song to do so.
He won the Golden Globe for the peppy number Naatu Naatu in 2023. The song was also picked for the Oscars Awards. The hype and buzz for the song are such that fans are waiting for the song to win the Oscars as well. Now he was picked for another big award.
Padma Awards are one of the highest civilian awards in India awarded for personalities across the fields recognizing the contributions they made in their areas. Keeravani was nominated for the Padma Shri award. In the Music and Arts category, MM Keeravani has been nominated for the award.
Earlier Keeravani was honored with the National Film Award for the classic film Annamayya starring Akkineni Nagarjuna. He won eight Filmfare Awards, eleven Nandai Awards, and a state award given by the Tamil Nadu government.
Talking about the Civilian Awards nominations this year as many as 106 people were nominated for various awards. 91 members were nominated for the Padma Shri awards while 6 personalities were nominated for Padma Vibhushan and 9 personalities were picked for the Padma Bhushan awards.
Spiritual Leader from Telangana Chinna Jeeyar Swami was nominated for the Padma Bhushan. Sri Tridandi Srimannarayana Ramanuja Chinna Jeeyar Swami is famous for taking forward the teachings of Sri Vaishnavism. Recently he added another big attraction to Telangana by setting up the Statue Of Equality.
On the eve of the 1000th birthday of the popular saint Sri Ramanujacharya Swami who fought for equality in society, the 216-foot statue was set up. It is said to be the second-tallest sitting statue in the world.
A few others from Telangana were also nominated for the Padma Bhushan along with Chinna Jeeyar Swami. Kamlesh D Patel aka Daaji was nominated for Padma Bhushan while Modadugu Vijay Gupta (Science & Engineering), Hanumantha Rao Pasupuleti (Medicine), and B Ramakrishna Reddy (Literature & Education) are nominated for Padma Shri.
