Mersal is the latest Tamil film in the discussions. The film released during Diwali this year. The buzz is that the film collected 178 crore rupees in the first week. The trade experts have been predicting that the movie will break all the existing records that are on the name of Robo. There is a chance that the film will touch the milestone of 200 crore rupees.

Popular Tamil distributor Abhirami Ramanthan made some sensational comments on the film. The distributor has commented that the makers are projecting the fake collections. The comments are made by the owner of the popular multiplex chain in Chennai and the same has been reported on Hindusthan Times.

The distributor who is active in the film business from 1976 claims that they used to create false hype on the film's collections in the olden days by wantedly encouraging the black ticket market. He adds that the same strategy is being implemented now to project the fake collections and increase the hype on the movie.

"When the makers promote the film that it touched 200 crore rupees, the audiences will come to a conclusion of not to miss the movie but the producers will never know the actual collections until the final theatrical run." said Ramanathan.
