Then, Ajith's long awaited Vivegam has come out as Spy thriller in August forcing the National media to cover the release event, looking at the popularity of actor, Ajith, revered as Thala. Even though the producers planned to promote the movie from August, they could not as a producer filed case against the team claiming that they cannot use Mersal as the title as he owns rights for Naan Mersalayyitten. Court took the case and ordered the film team to stop promotions until they completely listen to the arguments and arrive at a solution. Now, the court has dismissed the claims of the other producer and let the Vijay's film team to use Mersal as the title. Fans and producers are getting ready to start the celebrations for 19th October Diwali release, Mersal.
