Undisciplined People Suffer Later - Mohan Babu
By: Tupaki Desk | 11 Feb 2018 10:07 AM GMTMohan Babu, in his 43 years of Cinema Career, is known for being one of the most prolific actors in Telugu Cinema. His dialogue delivery and diction made him such famous that he transformed from being a supporting actor to lead roles in Films.
He also turned into a producer. Many rumours are heard about him that he slaps and treats people on his film sets very roughly. In a latest interview, he gave answers to all those rumours.
He said, "Few heroes who came after me, spread a negative talk about me in the Industry. For that reason many actresses who accepted to act in my films later skipped them. I don't why they did become so jealous of me but I stand on my values. "
He later said, "I like to be a guy with discipline. I never maintained a PA. If I had someone, they would have been arrogant and rude with producers. As I do not have them, I respectfully used to ask for the remuneration they agreed. People here, don't really yield until you be tough with them. So, people started spreading rumours that I am difficult and rough, arrogant person. If I am so, Raghavendra Rao, Dasari Narayana Rao wouldn't have encouraged me so much."
The actor went on to say, "I like people on set to respect it as a work place. Can you go and play solitaire or board game where you work? Even if they do, they get permission from bosses. On a set, director is the boss and producer is another important boss. When they both are trying to figure out how to show you well on screen and how to the film hit, how come you disrespect them by playing cards or other games? So, I kicked the table on my set when few actors were playing cards. It did hit someone but I did not care much about it. If you don't respect the work that gives you food, then you don't deserve my respect.
"One actress spread rumours about me that I am a rough guy. I heard she is now, not in the position to survive. Well, people who are undisciplined will suffer later. So, I tell to my children to respect everyone and treat work as God. From me, my set is not a picnic spot, it is my temple of work," said the legendary actor.
On the rumours that he is a binami for Dasari Narayana Rao, Paritala Ravi and Rajnikanth properties, he said, "If I am a binami to someone, I don't have to take money from financiers on loan to produce films."
He also clarified that he never hit director Suryakiran and if Surya Kiran says he did, he will write his whole properties to the director. Mohan Babu also exclaimed his surprise about young directors not finding him suitable for good characters. He said, "SS Rajamouli and Puri Jagannadh loved me in their films. Why can't others? I can say, it is their loss but that will make me arrogant. So, I will just say they might have not had good roles for me?!" The actor's latest film, Gayatri released on Friday, 9th of February.
