Mohanlal Reacts Over Dileep-Bhavana Issue

AMMA (Association of Malayalam Movie Artists) lifted ban on Dileep inspite of the actor not obtaining a clean chit either from police or court in the sensational abduction and sexual assault case. This move didn't go down well with Bhavana and she walked out of the Association accusing AMMA of standing by the side of Accused. Three other Actresses (Remya Nambeesan, Reema Kallingal, Geethu Mohandas) resigned to AMMA alleging film body is anti-women. Following which, Dileep declared he willn't be active in any film body until his innocence is proven.
Meanwhile, An Audio Clip of AMMA Members alleging Actresses of resorting to blackmailing the Film Body with resignations stirred a fresh controversy. As the issue is getting bigger, AMMA President Mohanlal offered his explanation over revoking ban of Dileep. 'Lifting ban on Dileep isn't my personal decision or something which is being done in an one-sided manner. It's a collective decision by all the members. Unfair to say AMMA is anti-women or it was influenced by political pressures'.
