Movie Lovers Heavily Criticising Mani Ratnam For 'PS - 1'!

Mani Ratnam is a name that needs no introduction. He is one of the biggest filmmakers in the history of Indian cinema and his work speaks volumes about his greatness. He is making 'Ponniyin Selvan' which is regarded as one of the best novels in Tamil literature. He termed it as his dream project and it is being made in two parts.
The first look posters of 'PS - 1' came out on Wednesday and the team announced that the film will be released on September 30th worldwide in multiple languages. The first posters of the lead cast came out and movie lovers are not at all happy with them.
They are criticizing Mani Ratnam for the poor designing of the first look posters. They released posters of Chiyaan Vikram, Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Aishwarya Rai and Trishna. They look quite shoddy and what disappointed fans the most is Chiyaan Vikram's look. He is seen leaning towards the sword while riding on a horse. It looked very weird and posters of Jayam Ravi and Karthi reminded people of 'Baahubali'.
Also, Aishwarya Rai's poster was heavily photoshopped as the iconic beauty's face appeared quite artificial and Trisha's look didn't even look Indian. Many claim that the posters look like they were taken out of Hollywood films or Indian periodic dramas and the lead cast's heads were attached to them.
Mani Ratnam is known for his visual splendor and such output from him is quite upsetting. It is to be seen how Mani Ratnam reacts to this heavy negative response on his dream project.
