Mudragada says ticket portal will put end to black money
By: Tupaki Desk | 21 Sep 2021 7:04 AM GMTThe Andhra Pradesh government's idea to launch a portal to sell movie tickets in the state had received a mixed response. However, the government said the proposal will keep an end to the irregularities in ticket sales. The proposal had received a big thumbs up from a former Minister.
Former Minister Mudragada Padmanabham, who is popular with the Kapu movement, has shot a letter to extend his support to the online ticket portal. Besides this, Mudragada also came up with a few more suggestions for the portal. He maintained that his suggestions will also help in bringing down the production costs.
The letter was released on Mudragada Padmanabham's letterhead and was written addressing Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy in a formal. The letter is going rounds on social media. Mudragada said that the letter copies to Andhra Pradesh Cinematography Minister Perni Nani.
He said that he has seen the news of MLA Roja and others giving clarity on the movie ticket portal that the bigwigs in the industry had requested for the online sale of the movie tickets. Calling the proposal a good one, Mudragada had requested everyone to kindly look into the suggestions he made in the letter as a former film exhibitor.
Mudragada had suggested that the government should collect money that goes into the salaries starting from Hero and heroines to the last person who will be involved in the production of a film from the producer.
The money that will be spent on Caravan, other vehicles, room rents, tiffins, meals, etc should also be collected from the producers. Like the online tickets, the money should also be sent to their bank accounts. This also gives an opportunity to look into the money spent in the process, he said.
This will also help in producing the film with white money and the production cost will also come down gradually, he said.
Now everyone wonders why Mudragada Padmanabham, who earlier announced that he will be quitting politics came to the limelight out of nowhere and gave his reason to extend his support to the controversial online movie ticket portal.
