'Mukunda Murari' is the Kannada remake of 'Gopala Gopala'. While Upendra played an atheist, Suddep will appear as Lord Krishna. 'Gopala Gopala' ended as an above average flick at the Box Office.But, There is unanimous acceptation for combination of Pawan Kalyan & Venkatesh. Even Director Dolly received critical acclaim for pretty good adaptation of Bollywood flick 'Oh My God'.
Now, The question is whether or not Upendra & Sudeep could live up to the standards set by Venkatesh and Pawan Kalyan. Trailer of Kannada version is more or less similar to the Telugu version. 'Mukunda Murari' is being released as Diwali special. Its up to the Kannada
audience to decide how well the remake as turned out to be.
Sudeep had a terrific success rate with remakes of Telugu Blockbusters. He scored big hits with Mirchi and Atharintiki Daredi in Sandalwood. Who knows, Even 'Mukunda Murari' could be a money spinner.
