Swachh Bharat Rankings: Top 10 Cities in India!

Union Urban Development Ministry announced the Swachh Bharat rankings for Capitals and Cities. While Bangalore stood as No.1 among the Capitals, Its Mysore which bagged the top honors among 476 cities.
As many as 39 Southern Cities, 27 Eastern Cities, 15 Western Cities and 12 Northern Cities figure in the Top 100 Cities list. While Karnataka have altogether four cities in the Top 10, West Bengal have 25 cities in the Top 100 Cities chart. None of the cities from both the Telugu states made it to the Top 10.
Swachh Bharat Rankings - Top 10 Cities: 1) Mysore (Karnataka), 2) Thiruchirapalli (Tamil Nadu), 3) Navi Mumbai, 4) Kochi (Kerala), 5) Hassan (Karnataka), 6) Mandya (Karnataka) and 7) Bengaluru (Karnataka), 8) Thiruvananthapuram (Kerala), 9) Halisahar (West Bengal) and 10) Gangtok (Sikkim).
All 476 Cities with over 1 lakh population were surveyed based on parameters such as Open Defecation, Solid Waste & Seepage Management, Drinking Water & Surface Water Quality and Waste Water Treatment.
