New films: Exam season played spoilsport

For any business there will be some 'off season'. Film industry is no exception for this. Whenever exams are around the corner.. student will not go to the theaters..even parents will not go to the theaters. Ultimately there will be less number of footfalls in the theaters. The same thing is witnessed in Tollywood now.
This March has been a dull season till now and many films released recently are struggling to taste success. More than half a dozen films released in the first week of March. Out of all those films only 'Kittu Unnadu Jagratha' could register decent collections at the box office. All the other films couldn't show any impact at the box office. 'Gunturodu', 'Dwaraka' disappointed with their collections.
When it comes to last week releases.. only 'Nagaram' appears to be an average film. Even though the film got good reviews.. the collections reports are not so impressive. The situation of another Tamil dubbed film '16' is much more disappointing. Reviews are good.. but collections are bad. These films would have fared better if they had released in any other season. Whatever be the case.. off season has badly affected these films.
Surprisingly a bunch of new films.. 'Vellipomake'.. 'Shivalinga'.. 'Maa Abbayi' are slated for release on this Friday. There are no hopes on these films because the dull season will definitely affect them.
