Akkineni Nagarjuna is so confident about 'Oopiri' that he already declares it as a potential blockbuster. In his words, This Soul-Stirring Flick does what classic films like Shiva, Geetanjali, Ninne Pelladutha and Annamayya had done to his career.

'Oopiri' is a remake of French drama 'The Intouchables'. While Nagarjuna does the challenging role of a wheelchair-bound billionaire, Karthi and Tamanna who meet for a purpose become love birds. Vamsi Paidipally made drastic changes to suit Telugu/Tamil sensibilities and included lots of humor in the movie.
