'Dad' Trouble For Son!

When you have two heroes from one family, you try to plan the release dates in big seasons to not spoil each other's market.

Sometimes, producers don't really think about it so much and we saw, how Varun Tej and Sai Dharam Tej films collided at the box office, this month.

However, Nagarjuna and Naga Chaitanya, have never been in such situation, until, Nag's Officer and Chaitanya's Savyasachi came along.

There was a big question, on how will these two movies adjust the release dates to fit into the summer slot, that have reduced so much with every one needing at least one week to recover costs.

Savyasachi has good buzz to start off due to the reasons like Premam combination craze, Naga Chaitanya's looks, different storyline and Madhavan, Bhoomika roles as added advantage to the mix, with MM Keeravani's music.

On the other hand, Officer is a crazy project only because Nagarjuna and RGV, films historical have been good and the fact that they are coming after 25 years, together. But the fact is that only Nagarjuna is in form and RGV is completely off the track here.

So, nobody has many expectations from Officer but this movie came as a roadblock in the plans of Savyasachi for a May or Summer release. As the shoot is still in progress, the producers thought it would be better to release the film in last week of May.

But that is not the case now, as Nagarjuna and RGV announced their date as 25th May. Already, 4th May date is booked by Naa Peru Surya team and 11th May is booked by Sakshayam, 18th May by Taxiwala. And now, the remaining date by Officer.

It seems like for Dad, son has to go postpone his film by two or three weeks to June!
