Why is this film titled Premam?

Apparently many are thinking that "Premam" Telugu version is titled as Premam because the Malayalam version is titled that way. However King Nagarjuna explained the main reason behind naming this title.
"Actually I've found out Premam means 'pure love' as written in Sanskrit language. I felt happy that they have picked up a Sanskrit title for the film" said Nagarjuna, talking about the film's title at "Premam" launch other day.
Naga Chaitanya and Shruti Haasan starrer Premam is getting ready for release on October 7th. Directed by Chandu Mondeti the film has also Madonna Sebastian and Anupama Parameswaran in the leads.
