Duvvada Jagannadam released on 23rd June has been finding it tough to register good collections after a brilliant start in the first weekend. Along with producers, buyers and distributors also thought the movie will easily achieve Break Even status if not profits. Already, Buyers and distributors have earned 70 percent of the investment but they are still at the risk of losing some amount as the movie collections have dropped considerably.
Few distributors are in a safe zone but several might have to lose their money however small percentage it might be. In the second weekend, the movie had some collections to talk about but after that the movie collections have dropped further. Now, in the third weekend, Nani's Ninnu Kori has delivered a knock out blow to DJ in many areas.
As the movie got a positive word of mouth, it seems to have completely smashed the hopes of any revival. Even Ami Thumi is going better than DJ. In USA, DJ has been completely overtaken by Ninnu Kori. DJ needed 2 million dollars collection to become safe but the movie might end up at 1.3 - 1.4 Million dollars. On the other hand, Ninnu Kori started out brilliantly and it could continue on it's winning momentum further as well.
