If Nenu Local would have been released in December 23 as per the initial plan.. if it would have become a hit.. Nani would have created a unique record with four hits in a calender year. But it didn't happen, as Nenu Local got postponed. There were reports in the media that Nenu Local got postponed due to Suriya's film release. But some people doubted that there might be other reasons for the postponement because the film got postponed for 40 days to February 3. Nobody knows why the release got delayed.
Hero Nani gave clarity for this delay. He told that "Keerthy Suresh is the reason behind the delay. Keerthy is doing star hero films in Tamil continuously, so there were issues with her call sheets... that's the reason why shooting has to be stopped for few days. Even though the shooting got delayed due to her.. she is going to be a major attraction in the film".
Nani gave his compliment to Keerthy that "She is one of the best co stars he has ever worked with". It is known that Keerthy gave her Tollywood entry with Nenu Sailaja. After Nenu Local.. Keerthy is doing Pawan Kalyan - Trivikram Srinivas project.
