Nani Wanted To Reject 'Devadas'

For the first time in his career, Natural star Nani teamed up with senior hero Nagarjuna and came up with a comedy entertainer 'Devadas'. The film has finally hit the screens today and has been garnering a positive response from the audience.
Interestingly, Nani initially wanted to reject this project as he thought it would be difficult for him to adjust the dates. He thought of saying no to this film. During the promotions of 'Devadas' Nani has finally revealed how he later accepted this project. He stated that Vyjayanthi Movies banner has this script for a long time, but they didn't have a director for the film which made them to wait for a long time. "We wanted to make Devadas movie not too commercial and not too realistic and decided to search for a good director. Then, I saw the trailers of 'Shamanthakamani' and 'Bhale Manchi Roju' and found Sriram Aditya" said Nani.
"As we already have the script, we decided to get him on board and gave him 40 days time to make the full script ready. I informed that I will accept the project only if I like the script. Exactly after 40 days when I was shooting for 'MCA', a movie in Warangal, Sriram Aditya narrated the script. As I really like the way he narrated the script, I immediately accepted to do this project.
