By: Tupaki Desk | 8 March 2017 10:49 AM GMTNassar is a popular arstiste in Telugu even though he is a Tamilian. He is one of the few actos who crossed language barriers. In a recent intereview Nassar shared interesting things about his early life, films.. experience as a producer etc. Nassar said that he wanted to study well and get a good job. But his father's wish forced him to become an artiste. As his father was a drama artiste he wanted to see his son as an artiste.
He said that " I was working in a Hotel and getting good payment before coming into films. I joined in Adyar Film Institute leaving my job, due to my father's pressure. I got a gold medal as an actor in the institute. I used to try for opportunities showing my gold medal. I became a dubbing artiste as I couldn't get acting offers. I got my first remuneration of Rs.13/- as a dubbing artiste. 'Nayakudu' film was a big break for me. I never looked back after that".
"I was trained in direction along with acting in Adyar Institute. So I took up direction when I was at the peak of my acting career. I started a film 'Avatharam' in my own direction. It was my own production. I produced four films. I've lost 2.5 crore and suffered financially. I was literally on the road at that time. I convinced myself that this is common in film industry. Luckily I bounced back as an actor and settled down later".
