Chiranjeevi has been contemplation on doing the biopic of 'Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy' since many years. At last, He decided to make it his 151st Movie and this fetched lot of coverage to the forgotten freedom fighter. Now, Indications have been coming that Centre is mulling to offer him National recognition.
Union Government is considering the proposal of Tamil Nadu Telugu Yuva Shakti to declare Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy as a National Hero. PMO has directed Ministry of Home to take steps in this regard. Tamil Nadu Yuva Shakti president Jagadeesh Reddy confirmed the news.
There is buzz that Centre began taking the matter seriously only after Chiru signed the biopic of Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy. However, Few people rubbish this version and treat it just as a publicity stunt. It's to be seen if Centre recognizes Uyyalawada as National Hero or not!
Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy is the first generation Freedom Fighter. He sacrificed his life fighting against the British Rule in the 19th Century.
