Anushka to turn Police DIG?

Rather than making commercial films, Kannada filmmaker A.M.R.Ramesh is more interested in doing movies based on the real life characters and sensitive issues like the death of Rajiv Gandhi, the mystery behind Sunanda Pushkar's death, etc.
Currently, Ramesh is busy filming the biopic of DIG D.Roopa who recently stood in the news with controversial reports. Roopa brought the alleged special treatment given to the AIADMK leader V.K.Sasikala who is currently serving the imprisonment in Parappana Agrahara prison into the limelight. However, she was transferred to Traffic and Road Safety department and is working as an in charge. Ramesh took Roopa's permission to make the movie.
So Ramesh's upcoming film will feature the special treatment the prison is providing to Sasikala in exchange of huge amounts of money. "I am in the process of researching the issues properly. Roopa has exposed the irregularities in prison system such as drug abuse by inmates, special treatment given to Abdul Karim Telgi who got arrested in fake stamp paper scam. But bringing Sasikala's issue into light made her a sensation overnight. I need some proofs before I continue my script works." Says Ramesh. Roopa is also happy to collaborate with Ramesh.
"Ramesh is a sensible director and is well-known for making movies based on real-life subjects. When he approached me for the biopic, I accepted immediately without hesitations. We discussed my childhood and upbringing and how I got inspired to become an IPS officer etc. for the story." Stated Roopa.
Sources are reporting that either Nayanthara or Anushka Shetty will play the lead in the film. The title of the movie is yet to get finalized, and the director is busy collecting necessary details to finalize the script. So the cast will be selected only after the script works.
