The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on Wednesday arrested two persons in connection with the Sushant Singh Rajput drug case. Abdul Basit Parihar of Mumbai Bandra was arrested, the agency said. NCB officials said on the occasion that he has contacts with Samuel Miranda. It is alleged that Miranda collected the drugs on the instructions of Showik Chakraborty, brother of Rhea Chakraborty.

Samuel Miranda works as a housekeeping manager at Sushant's home. He takes care of all the affairs of the house. In May last year, Rhea hired him as the manager of Sushant's house.

Since then, Sushant's family members had been making allegations against him that he was helping Rhea to take Sushant's money. Along with Samuel, NCB officials also arrested Zaid Vilatra from Mumbai. Zaid was arrested on charges of supplying drugs at parties attended by biggies in Mumbai.

CBI officials on Wednesday questioned Rhea Chakraborty's parents in connection with the Sushant case. Rhea's parents appeared before the CBI for the first time in the case. It is learned that Rhea's younger brother Showik was also interrogated last week.

Sushant's family members have registered a case against all Rhea's family members and filed an FIR alleging that they stole Sushant's money and tortured him to commit suicide. Rhea was interrogated by CBI officials for 35 hours in four days.
