Uppena Song Origin: Devi Turns An Actor Too!

Uppena is the debut film of Panja Vaishnav Tej, younger brother of Sai Dharam Tej. It is directed by Bucchi Babu and Sukumar wrote it with him and is also producing it with Mythri Movie Makers.
The first song from the album is releasing on 2nd March at 4:05 PM and the team released a made-up origin video for the song, to announce its release.
In the video, we can see director Bucchi Babu and Devi Sri Prasad, talking about the song at a beach with sea as the background.
Uppena deals with sea as a metaphor for the romance and also uses it as a big backdrop for story too. So, a song that introduces us to such metaphor is selected as first single to be released too.
Javed Ali sang the song and it is titled, Nee Kannu Neeli Samudram. Uppena has Vijay Sethupathi playing the antagonist for the first time in Telugu. Movie is releasing on 2nd April.
