Who paid Rs 40 crore to Mahendra Singh Dhoni?

Speculations were abuzz that Indian limited overs skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni has charged a whooping Rs 40 crore package for the rights of his biopic 'MS Dhoni: The Untold Story'.
Director Neeraj Pandey clarified paying such a huge amount just for the rights of a Cricketer's life story isn't commercially viable and no Studio would agree to it.
When quizzed about money paid by the production house to obtain the footage of Dhoni's world cup winning six, Neeraj Pandey told he wasn't the authorized person to disclose it. He even refused to comment on the stake of Dhoni's Manager in the biopic.
Ask him if Dhoni would promote the project? Neeraj Pandey said Dhoni wasn't comfortable doing so and hence mayn't be part of promotional campaign.
The Director asked people to remain patient until the release to know details about Dhoni's Former Girlfriend.
