Bollywood comedian Zakir Khan's comments in a comedy show aired on a TV channel attracted a backlash from the people of Bihar. Zakir Khan tried to evoke laughs with the comments "My name is Zakir Khan but I'm not a terrorist. I look like a labourer but I'm not from Bihar.."
Bollywood heroine Neetu Chandra who hails from Bihar has lashed out at Zakir Khan for the objectionable remarks. She took to Twitter and tweeted that "How dare u make fun of my state calling d people of my #Bihar ugly n of course as usual we #Biharis keep quite on stupid n literally ugly man in n out @Zakirism #press @NitishKumar @SushilModi #Padmavati issue is not an insult 2 us but HE IS !! CHECK DS". In another tweet, she reasoned "Nothing gives anyone d right to make fun of my home !! Do you get that ? N also I am not hiding anything..."
While some netizens supported Neetu Chandra, other tried to defend the comedian that he has done nothing wrong and it is just a comedy show. On the whole, Neetu Chandra's strong response became a topic of discussion among the netizens.
