Netflix Rates RRR as the most Watched Non-English Film

The Indian box office was taken by a storm called 'RRR'. The SS Rajamouli directorial stars Young Tiger NTR and Mega Powerstar Ram Charan in lead roles. RRR had a phenomenal run overseas as well. Just with premiers, RRR bagged big collections which are higher than the lifetime collections of many big films.
RRR earned over Rs 1,100 crores at the box office. The fictional drama is continuing its dream run in the OTT release as well. RRR was sold for a whopping amount. While the Hindi version of RRR was sold to OTT giant Netflix, the regional languages were bought by Zee5.
Compared to the regional versions, the Hindi version is doing wonders in terms of viewership. With Netflix acquiring the Hindi version, RRR was catered to larger audiences. As Netflix enjoys massive viewers from the western nations, the set of viewers watched the Pan-India film.
Having tasted phenomenal success at the theatres, RRR continued its run on OTT as well. RRR became the most-watched Non-English film on Netflix. The OTT platform Netflix announced the same with super joy.
Looking at the numbers announced by Netflix, RRR recorded 18.36 million watching hours, which is quite high. Despite giving a tough competition to a few English films and series, RRR emerged as the most-watched film in the non-English film category. RRR made it big at the global level.
RRR is one of the high-ticket films made in India. The Pan-India film offered some breathtaking visuals and high-octane action sequences. The intro scene of NTR with the forest backdrop is the key take away and even the western audiences and stars were blown by RRR visuals.
Directed by SS Rajamouli, big-ticket RRR stars Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao and Ram Charan Tej as the lead stars, who essayed the roles of revolutionaries Komaram Bheem and Alluri Sitarama Raju respectively.
