Netflix's web series 'A Suitable Boy', directed by celebrated Indian filmmaker Mira Nair has caused a stir over a scene where a Hindu woman and a man belonging to the Muslim community share a kiss at a temple.

The Temple kissing scenes triggered netizens' reactions and they started urging all Indians to boycott the OTT platform.

Gaurav Tiwari, a leader of the youth wing of India's ruling Hindu nationalist Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), has filed a complaint against the OTT giant and warned of street protests if the show is not taken off the platform.

A Suitable Boy is based on an English novel of Vikram Seth and released on Netflix on October 23. The series has six-episodes and is set in the backdrop of newly independent India (1951). The web series shows the efforts of a few families to arrange the marriage of their daughter to a suitable boy.
