Never before OTT release for RRR

RRR is likely to stream on OTT platforms ZEE5 and Netflix this 20th. But there is a catch here. The film will not get full fledged OTT premieres but instead, it will have paid premieres.
Yes, you read that right, ZEE5 is apparently planning paid OTT premieres for RRR which is a never before feat for a Telugu film on OTT.
RRR had already released in theatres on 25th March and roughly 2 months later, the film looks set to stream on OTT. The film's OTT rights were bagged by ZEE5 and Netflix. But as for the early paid premieres, only ZEE5 is planning to orchestrate this mode of release for the film.
This early paid premieres model is nothing but pay per view. You pay a token amount fixed by ZEE5 and you will be given access to watch the film before anyone else on OTT. There might be some extra content as well.
Reports are suggesting that RRR's paid premieres will be on ZEE5 and iTunes but this is no confirmed by the unit yet so we can't pull up to any final conclusions.
