'2.O' was made with a mammoth budget of Rs 550 crore. Recovery has to be not less than Rs 1000 crore (Gross) for break-even. Telugu Theatrical Rights were sold out for whooping Rs 76 croreâ¦that's a new record and almost double than the previous films of Thalaivar. Still, Makers have done nothing much to promote the sci-fi flick in the Telugu States.
Reports of Trailer Launch, Exclusive 3D Song Release and Massive Pre-Release Event in Hyderabad have been proven false. Finally, A Press Meet is going to happen in Hyderabad Today. Rajinikanth, Akshay Kumar and Shankar are likely to interact with Telugu Media in Park Hyatt at 4 PM. This is the only step taken by Team 2.O to promote the high-budget venture.
Producer NV Prasad, Dil Raju and UV Creations Vamshi acquired the Telugu Theatrical Rights for a sky-high price. Whether they would be able to recover the investment with such low-key promotions? Lack of any big Straight Telugu Films would fetch good number of theatres for '2.O'. What matters the most is the count of people thronging theatres. Can anybody guess the fate of '2.O' accurately?
