Mersal Telugu Version: No Satire on GST!
By: Tupaki Desk | 27 Oct 2017 4:17 AM GMTThe Satire on Goods & Services Tax (GST) in 'Mersal' led to a Nationwide debate. It's because of this controversy, Theatrical Release of its Telugu version 'Adirindi' is getting delayed.
Actually, 'Adirindi' is supposed to hit the screens Today. But, Producer Sharrath Marar had to postpone due to the delay in the issuance of Censor certificate. Despite removing the controversial dialogue on GST, Censor Board Officials didn't offer clearance yet.
Telangana BJP official spokesperson Krishna Sagar Rao clarifies his party hasn't been behind the delay in the release of 'Adirindi'. 'Tamil version was cleared by Censor Board without a single cut. Which proves BJP isn't against freedom of expression. Telangana BJP hasn't asked Censor Board to re-censor 'Adirindi'. Few Tamil Nadu Leaders might have placed the demand. But, We protest against the misrepresentation of facts,' he said.
'Adirindi' might release on Saturday or next week. Even Makers aren't sure when it will release as of now.
