No Sridevi in Drushyam

Since few days, Reports have been in circulation that makers of Tamil 'Drushyam' are keen on roping Sridevi to play the role of police officer in the family thriller. A section of media even jumped to the conclusion that Sri is very much interested in making a comeback down South with Kamal Haasan's flick.
However, These speculations have been proven wrong with the clarification from the makers. The unit members confirmed Sridevi wasn't approached to play Nadhiya's role in the Tamil version.
Director Jeetu Joseph who directed the original is wielding the megaphone for Tamil version. The female lead and the actress to play the IG Role is yet to be finalized.
Satish Paul, a Malayalam writer, has lodged a complaint in Ernakulam court saying 'Drushyam' plot has been copied from his book 'Oru Majakalathu'. A stay order has been issued by the court on the shooting of Kamal's Drushyam.
