In what could be seen as major setback, this time any pub or disco playing Telugu films songs will be facing 'legal' music.
This time Telugu music could not be used commercially without due authorization. Almost 90% of the latest Telugu film music is with Phonographic Performance Limited, the license arrangement organisation. Already PPL has given notices and got injunction orders that ban big five-star hotels play Telugu music if permission is not taken.
Of course, this licensing method is strictly followed in countries like USA but India never took it seriously. Trends are changing now.
