When you are making a romantic comedy, you have to understand that the film is going to have a happy ending. With the audience already knowing the climax, the writers need to emphasize more on the lead characters, screenplay and chemistry between the lead pair.

Sadly, this is what lacked in 'Virgin Story' according to the viewers who watched it in theatres.

Vikram Sahidev who acted in a couple of films before is making his debut as a hero with this movie and it is directed by Pradeep B Atluri. This is a story of a boy and girl who want to have a one-night stand without any emotions involved.

They try to find a good place to have sex and go around searching for rooms throughout the night. By the end of the movie, people who start out looking for a one-night stand find true love.

Despite picking up a story that suits the current generation of youth, the director reportedly filled the movie with predictable scenes and tried to infuse silly comedy which worked against the film according to many.

The supposed one-night stand becomes a never-ending one for the people sitting in theatres. The writer and director included a lot of tracks just to fill the time and it worked against the film.

Hero Vikram Sahidev played the role of a timid guy quite well and looked confident on the screen. Despite getting a meaty role, Sowmika Pandiyan failed to make her mark as the heroine. There are a lot of comedians in this movie but they failed to get registered.

The audience felt that the interesting premise was let down by the dull narration. The film has a short runtime which is an advantage. So are the two songs including 'Manasa Lede Ninnala' were quite good.

'Virgin Story' works in very small portions but the audience feel that it needs a lot more than a good premise, a few songs and decent technical prowess to become a success.
