Box-Office: Not The Right Choice By Krish
By: Tupaki Desk | 25 Dec 2018 7:06 AM GMTKrish Jagarlamudi is undoubtedly one of the star directors in the industry. This blockbuster director is also trying his hand in production as well. He has already co-produced high budget films like 'Gautamiputra Satakarni' and is known for investing huge amounts more than the market of the hero.
Krish who mostly bankrolls his directorial believed in the work of another young director, Sankalp Reddy after watching the success of 'Ghazi'. Krish came forward to produce Sankalp Reddy's second venture 'Antariksham' starring Varun Tej. It is really an experimental project and Krrish has invested more than 25 crores which is more than the market of Varun Tej. As the pre-release business didn't went well in some areas the producers opted for an own release. The film recently got released last Friday but opened with a mixed response from the audience. The collections came crashing down from the second day itself. By the end of the first weekend, the movie made a share collection of 4.5 crores.
By the end of the full run, it will be difficult for the movie to make at least 10 crores of share collections. With the satellite and digital rights, producers can get 5 more crores. But, the theatrical share should be at least 20 crores. But, the film can only recover half of the investment. So, it is evident that Krish didn't make the right choice this time.
